Korean Constitutional Medicine, while little understood in the U.S., is well known for its effectiveness in both Asia and Europe. It already classifies humans into four genetic types, termed ‘constitutions’, then further into subdivisions. As a result, both the treatments and herbal medicines are prescribed according to a patient’s particular genetic type. In general, most doctors decide medical treatment or examination based on the disease of the patient. However, Korean Constitutional Medicine uses a different prescription and treatment according to the physical constitution of the patient.
